Watch: Yogi Babu, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and fun...It's an awareness video from Kollywood stars!

The prominent Kollywood stars have come together on a single screen and presented a fun and message-filled awareness video as part of COVID-19 safety measures. The video has been going viral and garnered good responses on and off social media. The virtual initiative of creating awareness was taken by actor Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who has been unfolding awareness videos related to the measures to beat the pandemic. 

Varalaxmi has recently made a video creating awareness about how the facemask must be worn, the wrong ways which people often wear, and the importance of wearing the masks properly. Sarathkumar's daughter had compiled and presented the video featuring prominent stars including actors Sathish, Krishna Kulasekaran, Yogi Babu, Regina Cassandra, Vidyullekha Raman, Aishwarya Rajesh, Sundeep Kishan, and Priyadarshi Pulikonda. 

The video which runs for 1 minute and 25 seconds starts with "How NOT to wear a mask." It has presented the names of masks based on how they are placed on the face. It includes 'Chin and Beard Mask' for the masks that are placed on the beard, 'Pull down, pull up mask' for the masks that are often pulled down from the mouth while speaking, 'Eye mask' for the masks that are placed on eyes, and 'Jimiki/Earring mask' for the masks that are placed on the ears. 

The video ends with how the mask should actually be worn. Sharing the video on social media on Monday, Varalaxmi said, "Thank you for being so awesome and cool. Thank you all for doing it as soon as I asked you...!! Love you guys so much...!! Something fun from us to you...How to wear a mask." She had tagged the stars who are part of the video. 

Aishwarya Rajesh, who was part of the video, took to Twitter and shared the video. She wrote, "Here's something g to make you laugh. But, don't stop with just that. Pay attention to the message of the video and wear your masks right! Happy viewing!! Thank u @varusarath5 for initiating this." Many celebrities have been commending the stars and sharing the video ever since it was shared. 

Earlier, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar had released another awareness video on June 2 to encourage people to get vaccinated for the COVID-19 pandemic. In a double act sequence, she had called everyone to receive the vaccine to beat the pandemic. She also had quashed the hearsays that are widespread about the vaccines. The video was her bid to allay the hesitancy over receiving the vaccines.  By sharing the video, Varalaxmi said, "Get vaccinated avoid rumours. I've got mine...Have you got yours...? Take the vaccine and beat Corona." She had tagged Greater Chennai Corporation in her tweet and the civic body had thanked the actor for this much-needed message.
