'We are ready': SS Rajamouli's magnum opus 'RRR' comes up with two release dates!

After having episodes of deferment in light of the Covid spread, SS Rajamouli's magnum opus RRR has come up with two release dates as the much-expected movie aims to hit the big screens within this April, amid being aware that the pandemic may still play the spoilsport. The announcement of the new release date was made on Friday and the team has stressed that they are ready to serve the movie to the fans as per the fresh schedule.

In the wake of the Covid-19 third wave and the Omicron variant, several states have curbed the recreation and entertainment activities and had either shut down the theatres or reduced the occupancy rate to restrict the overcrowding. RRR was slated for a theatrical release on January 7, 2021. However, due to the fresh round of restrictions, the movie team has, days ahead of the release, announced that the release has been deferred and that the new date will be unveiled later.

Taking the fans into surprise, the movie team has now announced two new release dates. In a statement that was posted on social media on Friday, the movie team has said, "If the pandemic situation in the country gets better and all theatres open up to operate at full capacity, we are ready to release the film on 18th March 2022. Otherwise, the RRR movie will release on 28th April 2022."

The announcement had drawn huge attention as the fans have been sharing the news on social media. Since the release of the poster and trailer, RRR has earned more expectations for its magnificent artwork, ensemble cast, and storyline. The release of the movie has been deferred several times due to the pandemic. Originally, it was scheduled to get released on July 30, 2021, and it was postponed. The date was later fixed as January 7, 2022, only to have another round of postponement.

RRR is written by KV Vijayendra Prasad and is made at a budget of Rs 400 crore. While it was bankrolled by DVV Danayya under the banner of DVV Entertainments, it is directed by SS Rajamouli. While Ram Charan and Junior NTR play in the lead roles, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson, Shriya Saran, and Samuthirakani play important roles. Bahubali fame MM Keeravani has composed the music and RRR will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.
