'What's happening in India?': PM Modi's first question to BJP chief JP Nadda after reaching the country!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has landed in Delhi during the wee hours of Monday - June 26 after concluding his six-day historical overseas tours to the United States and Egypt. When he disembarked from his plane, several BJP leaders including the party's national president JP Nadda had welcomed him. 

Narendra Modi had travelled to the United States for a historic state visit, with an invitation from US President Joe Biden. Modi's US tour lasted for four days during which he visited New York and Washington DC. While in New York, he participated in the Yoga session that was organized at the United Nations headquarters on the occasion of the International Yoga Day.

He was awarded a rousing welcome by the Indian diaspora and during his second leg of the tour in Washington, Modi was hosted by Biden at The White House and both the leaders took part in a state dinner and met a large group of Indian and US business executives. Besides addressing a joint press conference, Modi had also addressed the Indian people living in the US. 

During his Egypt visit, Modi was conferred with the 'Order of the Nile' Award, which is Egypt's highest honour, by the Egyptian President. During his US and Egypt visits, several agreements were also signed. After wrapping up his visit, Modi landed in Delhi on Monday and as per the reports, the first question he asked to BJP president JP Nadda was 'What's happening in India?'.

Modi was received at the Delhi Airport by Union Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi and BJP chief JP Nadda. Several BJP leaders such as Harsh Vardhan, Hans Raj Hans, and Gautam Gambhir were also present during Modi's arrival. The visuals shown that Modi had a word with the BJP leaders before leaving the airport. 

Responding to the question what Modi was asking the BJP leaders at the airport, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari told the reporters, "He asked Nadda ji how it is going here, and Nadda ji told him that the party leaders were reaching out to people with the report card of the nine years of his government and the country is happy." Another BJP MP Parvesh Verma said that the Prime Minister asked what was happening in the country and the state of the party's public outreach programmes.
