What's in the package of his United States tour?

As Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Edappadi Palaniswami, along with his cabinet ministers, had toured three nations in August and September this year with the motive of webbing foreign investments towards the state of Tamil Nadu, it's now the turn of state's Deputy Chief Minister to emplane his edition of official foreign tour for the first time since he took office.

While Edappadi Palaniswami visited the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Arab Emirates in ten days, Deputy Chief Minister O Pannerselvam would be touring the United States as his single leg of foreign tour for the ten days from November 8th to 17th, 2019 to table the discussions on the prevailing mechanisms in North American country in the area of Housing and Urban Development.

The reports say that in the sidelines of his tour, he will be honored with an award from a Chicago based group and he will also meet Tamil people living in the United States. It has been reported that the US-based organization called the ' American Multi-Ethnic Coalition' will be honoring the visiting Deputy Chief Minister with the award of 'Rising Star of the Year, Asia'.  Adding in the line of Chicago, O Pannerselvam has been scheduled to tour the cities like  New York, Houston, and Washington DC.

The American Multi-Ethnic Coalition, which claims to be the grassroot level organization to enhance and to empower the ethnic communities through social, educational, cultural, health and political initiatives.

His visit comes about two months after the ADMK party's joint coordinator and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami toured three western countries during last week of August and first week of September where on his first leg of maiden overseas tour, he visited British capital London and discussed with the city's medical experts to invite the investments and air ambulance services to Tamil Nadu with the view of upgrading the healthcare sector in the state following which he toured the United States where during his second leg of the tour, he signed MoUs from various American companies to attract investments and employment opportunities in the state of Tamil Nadu and as the final leg of his three nations tour, he visited Dubai in the United Arab Emirates where he took part in business investors meet that was organized by Indian Embassy and Business leaders of the Arab Emirates.

The sources have stated that during his ten days visit to the United States, Tamil Nadu's Deputy Chief Minister O Pannerselvam would be participating in programs organized by Indian American Business Coalition and by the American Tamil Entrepreneurs group.
