When the Royals take on the Super Kings...Will Dhoni fulfill the expectations from the fans?

The Chennai Super Kings are all set to take on the Royals with the momentum that Dhoni's fleet had built through its remarkable victory against the Punjab Kings in the last match. On the other side, the Royals are in a position that they can't be easily written off as it comes to the battlefield by defeating the Delhi Capitals. Both the teams would be clashing for their second victory in the league.

The match, which is the 12th game of the league, will be hosted by Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Like every other game, the toss in today's match will play a crucial role in predicting which team would gain control and keep the momentum. For CSK, the team is fixing the damaging parts and it was evident in the last match that how the bowling unit had punished Punjab with a low score.

CSK pacer Deepak Chahar wrote a good comeback for the team as he had registered a four-wicket haul against Punjab Kings by destroying the team's batting line-up. While Chahar powers the bowling unit of the CSK, the team will hope that Sam Curran and Shardul Thakur to revive back to strengthen the bowling unit to take on the Royals. One of the significant developments for CSK is the return of South African pacer Lungi Ngidi.

Ngidi is out of quarantine and it is most likely that he will be inducted to the playing squad against the Royals on Monday. While Ngidi is stepping on the squad, it has been expected that Dwayne Bravo will be on the bench on today's game. Ravindra Jadeja shines as a potent all-rounder and trusted fielder of CSK while the men in yellow still have to work on fixing the flaws in the batting line-up.

Though Faf du Plessis put hope to display decent batting, the other batsmen in the unit are failing to stand on the crease for a long time. It's time for Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ambati Rayudu to revive and provide an innings that is much needed for the team. All eyes are on Dhoni as he is yet to score a run in the current season. While he got dismissed for a duck in the opening match against Delhi, he didn't bat in the second match against Punjab.

The CSK fans are desperately expecting Dhoni's knock in the current match. On the other side, Rajasthan Royals are coming to the field with sublime form in all the areas. Royals skipper Sanju Samson had hit a splendid century, which has become his first IPL century as the captain. Jos Buttler and David Miller form an experienced and dangerous batting line-up and the team has had the wealthiest player of the season Chris Morris. Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals had met head-to-head in 23 matches of which 14 were won by CSK while the rest nine were won by the RR. The Royals had defeated CSK in the two matches of the last season that held in the UAE.

On the front of probable XI, here's what we can expect - Chennai Super Kings: Ruturaj Gaikwad/ Robin Uthappa, Faf du Plessis, Moeen Ali, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, Sam Curran, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo/ Lungi Ngidi, Shardul Thakur, and Deepak Chahar. Rajasthan Royals: Manan Vohra/Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, David Miller, Riyan Parag, Rahul Tewatia, Chris Morris, Jaydev Unadkat, Chetan Sakariya, and Mustafizur Rahman.
