When Superstar wishes Big B: Viral tweet of Rajinikanth greeting Amitabh Bachchan on his 80th birthday!

Amitabh Bachchan, the multifaceted actor, producer, and former politician, turned 80 on October 11. In the midst of greetings and wishes that are already gushing in for the veteran actor, Superstar Rajinikanth has extended his birthday wish to Bachchan, which has been going viral. 

In his birthday greeting, Rajinikanth noted that Amitabh Bachchan has inspired him always. Taking to Twitter, Rajinikanth wrote, "The legend...someone who has inspired me always…the one true sensation and superhero of our glorious Indian film fraternity enters 80...happy birthday my dearest and most respected Amitabh ji...with lots of love and best regards always." 

Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan was born on October 11, 1942, and he has bagged some of the prestigious national honours including Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Vibhushan for his unparalleled contribution towards art and cinema. He is celebrating his 80th birthday on Tuesday and thousands of people from leaders to celebrities are pouring their hearty wishes to the thespian, who is still active in the industry. 

The actor's last feel good family drama, 'Goodbye', helmed by Vikas Bahl, was released on 7th October and getting positive reception so far among critics. It's worthwhile to remember that Superstar has worked on remakes of Amitabh Bachchan's films, including Dharmathin Thalaivan, a 1978 remake of Kasme Vaade, Mr. Bharat, a remake of Thrishul, Panakaaran, a remake of Laawaris, Maaveeran, a remake of Mard, and Velaikaaran, a remake of Namak Halal, among others.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, daughter-in-law to the Big B, worked with Rajinikanth on Endhiran, 2.0, helmed by Shankar. On his work endeavours, Superstar Rajinikanth is presently in Chennai filming the Nelson Dilipkumar-helmed film Jailer. With Lyca Production, the iconic actor recently signed a two-film contract. 

In line with Rajinikanth, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has also extended his birthday greetings to Amitabh Bachchan. Taking to Twitter, the Chief Minister wrote, "Wishing a very happy birthday to the living legend & the most iconic star of Indian Cinema Amitabh Bachchan who is turning 80 today. May your trademark artistic characteristics continue to influence the Indian Cinema in future as well and enthrall the audience for many more decades."
