When will the Thalapathy 67 updates come... Hear from director Lokesh Kanagaraj!

Lokesh Kangaraj's filmography is a smashing success, with box office stomps like 2019's Kaithi and the more recent Vikram. After the success of 2021's Master, which made around 300 crores at the global box office, the director will reunite with Thalapathy Vijay for the third time in 'Thalapathy 67'. However, this time around, the film will feature an ensemble cast of A-list actors.

Production on "Thalapathy 67" reportedly began a few days ago with a Muhurtha ceremony, though stills from the ceremony have not been made public. As of late, murmurings have circulated that Kamal Haasan, Suriya, Karthi, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil have all joined Vijay in the Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe for "Thalapathy 67," and that the film's announcement video has already been shot.

While attending the recent trailer launch event for actor Vishal's 'Laththi,' in which Lokesh took part, the director was asked when the film would be officially announced, he responded, "Production should make the official announcement, as I've been saying for the past few months. I'd like to talk about it too, but Thalapathy Vijay's movie "Varisu" is ready for the release. Thus, I would rather not distract the audience by discussing the new venture."

"After Varisu is out , we will announce Thalapathy 67. In the month of January, you can expect a flood of new content from us. Even next month, I'll set up a press conference to discuss the film", he went on to say. Moreover, Loki disclosed that the cast for the upcoming gangster action film Thalapathy 67 has been set in stone. According to rumors doing the rounds, the cast of "Thalapathy 67" includes the talents of Vijay, Trisha, Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Mansoor Ali Khan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Mysskin. After the January 2023 release of Varisu, however, the correct announcement will reach cinephiles.
