Why Actor Vijay came in bicycle to cast his vote? The reason is revealed!

Actor Vijay has stolen the spotlight of polling in Tamil Nadu through his stylish arrival to the polling station to cast his vote. Tamil Nadu is going through the polling for the assembly election on Tuesday and the voting has begun at 7 am and will last till 7 pm with the last one hour being reserved for the Corona patients. Over 88,000 polling stations have been installed across the state and around 4000 candidates are in the fray. 

Apart from the general public, several actors had cast their votes and Vijay has completely occupied the spotlight over the fashion of his arrival. Vijay is residing in Neelankarai, Chennai which falls under the Shollinganallur constituency. In the morning hours of Tuesday, Vijay exited his residence in a red and black colored bicycle and arrived at the polling booth in style amid being surrounded by his ardent fans. 

The fans had followed Vijay on bikes and while he took many into surprise by arriving on a bicycle, it had drawn huge attention and stirred the speculations that he has decided to take a bicycle to protest against the petrol and diesel price hike. The hashtags of Vijay and Petrol and Diesel hike have been trending on social media with many relishing to see their favorite actor's surprise. 

As Vijay has exited his residence, several fans followed him to take a glimpse of their favorite star riding on a bicycle. As the messages have gone high that the actor has taken a bicycle to protest against the petrol and diesel hike, Vijay's PRO has revealed why the actor has decided to take the bicycle. In a statement, Vijay's team said, "There is only one reason why Thalapathy Vijay came by cycle to cast his vote. The booth is in the street behind his house and it's a narrow street. It would be difficult to take the car there. There is no other reason for it".

As Vijay was surrounded by hundreds of fans while he came to the polling station, he had then decided to reach his residence through a bike. After casting his vote, Vijay was seen riding a pillion on the bike of one of his employees. The crowd gathered outside the polling booth had pushed the actor to find difficulty in taking the bicycle back home. According to reports, the actor couldn't even reach the cycle in the crowd and one of his employees had brought the cycle back to his residence in Neelankarai. 

Along with Vijay, several actors including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith, Vikram, Suriya, and Karthi had cast their votes. Tamil Nadu is voting for the first legislative election since the demise of Karunanidhi and Jayalalithaa. The voting will be getting completed at 7 pm on Tuesday and the votes will be counted on May 2, during which the results will be announced.
