Why Actor Vijay has filed a case against his parents?

In what has become a stunning piece of news, actor Vijay has filed a civil case against his parents and eleven other people including the Registrar of Societies, All India Vijay Makkal Iyakkam's district head R Padmanaban and functionaries of his fan clubs. He had moved his lawsuit to a city court in Chennai on September 17. However, the judicial bench had deferred the hearing to September 27 as Vijay's counsel hadn't appeared for the hearing.

According to reports, in his lawsuit, Vijay has sought a directive from the court to constrain his parents SA Chandrasekhar and Shobha, and eleven others from conducting meetings or activities in his name. The lawsuit has come at a backdrop of Vijay's stay off from the All India Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, which was registered with the Election Commission as a political party by Vijay's father SA Chandrasekhar last November. The development had sparked a fresh conflict between Vijay and his father and both of them were not taking each other.

Chandrasekhar went on to appoint himself as the General Secretary of the All India Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, which Vijay's relative Padmanabhan was made the President and Vijay's mother Sobha was named as the Treasurer. Vijay had denied his involvement in registering a political party after it was speculated that the actor was going to enter politics ahead of the state assembly polls. Vijay had affirmed that there was no connection between him and the party and instructed the fans not to have engagement with the outfit and added that the political party had no relation to his fan club. Following his denial, his mother Sobha had given up her role and stayed off from the outfit.

Last November, Vijay had also issued a warning that a stringent action will be taken against anyone who uses his name or his photo for any unlawful activities. As the conflict had become apparent, SA Chandrasekhar had clarified that he had started the party and Vijay has no links to it. After Vijay's denial, All India Vijay Makkal Iyakkam had lost its limelight and now, it had drawn attention with Vijay's latest lawsuit against his parents. The case came to a hearing on September 17 in a city court in Chennai.

However, neither Vijay nor his counsel had appeared in the court due to which the court had postponed the hearing to September 27. It has also been reported that when the case came up for hearing, it was announced that six of the respondents didn't receive the proper notice. While responses from SA Chandrasekhar and Shobha were filed, they were returned back to them and with the absence of Vijay's representative, the case was postponed.
