Will Prashant Kishor's IPAC bring DMK back to power?

Tamil Nadu Opposition party DMK has strongly been eyeing to sweep huge mandate in 2021 State Legislative elections to oust the ADMK rule that has been on the throne since 2011 and the opposition's hope has now been carried by Prashant Kishor's Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) as on Sunday, DMK's President Stalin had officially announced that Kishor's team would be joining DMK in Tamil Nadu to cement the party's victory in 2021.

It has been one of the major assignments for IPAC as it was speculated earlier that the national political advocacy group would be joining DMK and IPAC has recently attained success in Andhra Pradesh where it had strategically helped Jagan Mohan Reddy to secure a huge majority in removing Chandra Babu Naidu's government from the state. Initially, IPAC has gained the national spotlight after it played a strong role in BJP's victory in the 2014 General elections.

Such political committees are certainly new to India's political grounds and IPAC, as it claims, is India's first and largest cross-party political advocacy group, widely credited to have revolutionized election campaigning in India and aftermath their success of putting BJP to the throne, the group was largely approached by the BJP's national and regional rivals and it has currently been working closely with the parties in the states of West Bengal, Delhi, and Tamil Nadu. Prashant Kishor's current assignment is with Delhi's ruling Aam Aadmi Party for the upcoming legislative elections.

Stalin tweeted that "Happy to share that many bright & like-minded young professionals of Tamil Nadu are joining us under the banner of @IndianPAC to work with us on our 2021 election and help shape our plans to restore TN to its former glory!"

IPAC responded by stating that "Thanks Thiru @mkstalin for the opportunity. The @IndianPAC Tamil Nadu team is excited to work with DMK to help secure an emphatic victory in 2021 elections and contribute in putting the state back on the path of progress and prosperity under your able leadership."

The reports say that IPAC has taken up the assignment days after Prashant Kishor had officially removed from Nitish Kumar's JD(U) after he criticized Nitish Kumar and supporting for Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi where Nitish's party is contesting. His removal has spurred the controversy in Bihar's ruling party and there were heated exchanges between Nitish and Kishor on blaming each other. The reports have stated that I-PAC would be joining DMK after wrapping up its assignment with Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi Elections that would take place on February 8th, 2020.
