You must know: Shocking confessions from the accused who killed a Chennai girl by pushing her in front of a train!

The accused who killed a 20-year-old girl in Chennai by pushing her in front of a train on Thursday has divulged shocking confessions on why he killed her. The accused, 23-year-old Sathish was arrested on Friday - October 14 and during the investigations, he has confessed about committing the crime as the developments from the case are closely watched across the state. 

20-year-old Sathya Priya was a resident of Adambakkam near Guindy in Chennai. She was a sophomore, studying B.Com at a private college in T Nagar, Chennai. On October 13, Sathya Priya was standing with her friends in St Thomas Mount railway station during which Sathish came there and picked up an argument with her. When a suburban train approached the station, Sathish pushed Sathya Priya in front of the train in a broad daylight and fled the spot. 

She died on the tracks and the police were informed about the incident. After retrieving her body, the police formed seven special teams to arrest Sathish. According to our sources, Sathish had turned off his mobile phone and was on the run in the midst of a manhunt. During midnight, he turned on his mobile phone and the police traced his location in Thoraipakkam. 

The officials were rushed to Thoraipakkam and arrested Sathish in the wee hours of Friday. He was brought to Mambalam police station and was investigated by the police. During the interrogations, Sathish has given shocking confessions. He divulged that he was in a love affair with Sathya Priya for the past five years and she hasn't spoken with him for the past two months. 

As Sathya Priya was not talking to him, Sathish said he was in depression and then he decided to kill her and commit suicide. The accused further divulged that he came to St Thomas Mount railway station to kill her and kill self. However, after killing Sathya Priya by pushing her in front a train, he fled the spot after people started to scream. 

After recording his confessions, the police began the process of remanding Sathish into judicial custody. The police have recovered the CCTV footage at the station in which Sathish was seen wearing a white T shirt and a black hat. Shockingly, Sathya Priya's father Manickam, the reports say, died by suicide after hearing the news of his daughter's death. The autopsy was performed on both the bodies in Rajiv Gandhi Hospital and they were taken home amid high police security. 

During the morning hours of Friday, Chennai Police Commissioner Shankar Jiwal visited Sathya Priya's residence in Adambakkam and inquired her mother. Notably, both the families of accused and victim were into law enforcement. While Sathish is the son of a retired Special Sub-Inspector from Adambakkam police station, Sathya Priya's mother is a head-constable at the same police station.
