"Your expectations make us nervous"... Kamal Hassan on his awaiting project KH234 with Maniratnam!

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, who was honoured with the Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema award at the 23rd IIFA awards ceremony held in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, opened up about his upcoming film KH234, which has been generating a lot of buzz among his fans and the media.

The actor, who received the award from his long-time friend and collaborator Isai Puyal AR Rahman, said that he was grateful for the recognition and thanked his fans for their love and support. He also said that he was excited to be part of IIFA 2023, which was doing a great job of promoting Indian cinema globally.

Speaking about KH234, which is touted to be a most awaiting film to the fans for so long years, Kamal Haasan said that he was working hard on the project and hoped to meet the expectations of his audience. The veteran actor, who received the Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema award at the prestigious event, spoke about his highly anticipated project and how he is coping with the expectations of his fans.

He said that he was keeping his cool and doing it in the way like how he did his first film Nayakan, which is considered to be one of his best works. “We are working on it. Your expectations make us nervous but we are keeping our cool and do it in the way like how we did our first film Nayakan,” he said. 

Sources tell us that KH234 will go on the floors by this year-end and Simbu might join the cast soon. If this news turns out to be true, it will be a massive treat for the fans of both Kamal Haasan and Simbu. It will also be interesting to see who will play the leading lady in KH234, as some reports suggest that  Trisha and Vidya Balan are being considered by the makers.

KH234 will be produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Red Giant Movies. The film is said to be a political thriller with a strong message. Meanwhile Kamal Hassan is focusing on Shankar's Indian 2 which is getting to final stages of production.
