Is the crack between EPS and OPS enlarging?

As the election date has been announced for the legislative by-elections in the state of Tamil Nadu, the main political parties have been grounding its full might and weight in two legislative constituencies towards defeating its rivalries. The notable parties of the state , AIADMK - ruling party and DMK- the opposition party have been preparing to hit the campaign trail with having less than one month time to unleash their electoral vote banks in Vikkaravandi and Nanguneri constituencies.

Both Dravidian parties had announced its candidates where the ruling AIADMK party has been directly contesting the elections without allotting a seat to its allied parties while DMK had allotted one of the seats, Nanguneri to Indian National Congress but beyond the party lines, all these parties contesting the elections would collectively expected to torch money friendly politics instead of people friendly policies and while the rivalry line has been expanding between AIADMK and DMK, the party sources of AIADMK had cited that the crack between the ties of Chief minister Edappadi Palaniswami and Deputy Chief minister O Pannerselvam has also been enlarging that had dominance of Edappadi Palaniswami in finalizing the candidates for by-elections that would be the acid test for the ruling party to before it faces 2021 state general elections, which has been queued up with row of controversies and accusations.

Adding to the line of discrepancies and indifference, the relationship of the duo has been played with different scenes behind the screens as Pannerselvam has been left with raving episodes as most of the party men have been backing Edappadi Palaniswami and adding to that, the Chief minister had denied the recommendations of the names tabled by Pannerselvam for the upcoming by-elections.

During the discussions for finalizing the candidates, the top officials close to the party leadership had said that Edappadi Palaniswami had given odd responses for Pannerselvam on the names of the candidates he had chosen with the move of hardening the victory for the opposition parties where the sources added that the Chief minister had opted to announce the candidates backed by the district minister of AIADMK party with accordance to stage political fight against the former minister of DMK party, who has been responsible for the district.

On the other hand, O Pannerselvam had attempted to allot a seat for BJP which is part of the alliance but that was eventually not considered by the Chief minister by tabling the oral agreement that has been accepted by the two parties at the time of 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The agreement reads that the allied party won't be given party tickets to contest in by-polls and further to which Pannerselvam had proposed his all time supporter Manoj Pandian as 'Nanguneri' candidate but the raving chapter continued for Pannerselvam as Edappadi Palaniswami had failed to examine the candidacy tabled by Pannerselvam citing that the candidate doesn't directly belong to the constituency.

The party cadres had pictured the battered episodes between the Chief minister and Deputy Chief minister of the state, who are the top leadership of the party, has been getting enlarged as the supporters of Pannerselvam had expressed that, being the chief coordinator of the party,  he has been intentionally muted and disrespected by Chief minister and his camps that had echoed in choosing the candidates for by-elections where Pannerselvam had seen failing and lowering face in the party.
