Delhi violence: Here's what these TN parties had to say!

While the ongoing violence in Delhi has been long-simmering the tensions between the pro and anti CAA forces, the political parties in the state of Tamil Nadu, which is one of the states witnessing the protests against CAA, have urged the Central government to restore the normalcy in the national capital.

Tamil Nadu Opposition leader and DMK President Stalin took to Twitter and he said that "The violence in Delhi has now reached alarming proportions with gruesome attacks on citizens and journalists." He further appealed to the Center for its swift action and stated that "The Union Govt, which controls police in Delhi, must act swiftly to book perpetrators of violence and restore normalcy". He added that the state of Democracy is at peril.

Actor and President of Makkal Needhi Maiam Kamal Haasan reacted for the violence in Delhi through his official Twitter handle. By highlighting the hope that India will survive this madness, he stated that "How can we allow these children of hate to run amok in my United and diverse India. Stop! Please return to reason, before it is too late. No religion propagates hate, only people do. India has survived such madness before, I sincerely hope it will again."

On the other hand, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi chief and Lok Sabha MP Thirumavalavan fiercely attacked the Central government and he urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah to step down and demanded the Center to hand over the powers of police to Delhi government. In the letter that he posted on Twitter, Thirumavalavan said that the people of Delhi have rejected BJP in the elections and elected AAP and they have decided not to be fooled by the religious forces and he further blamed Amit Shah and the members of the Central ruling party for instigating the chaos in Delhi with the motive of polarising people based on their religion.
