The fanboy within PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan...What made him admire Vijay Sethupathi?

Tamil Nadu Finance Minister PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan has on Sunday divulged the fanboy within him in an event that was also attended by popular Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi. The finance minister said that he is among the crores of fans of the actor and praised the latter for his courageous remarks. The fans cite that this was the quality that made the finance minister admire their favourite star. 

Palanivel Thiagarajan and Vijay Sethupathi had participated in the inaugural event of a basketball tournament that was held on Sunday at Jawaharlal Nehru's Indoor Stadium, Chennai. The season will be conducted till April 10 and the winners of this season will qualify for the international games. Following the inauguration, Finance Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan has addressed the arena during which he expressed that he is a fan of actor Vijay Sethupathi. 

While addressing the event, Palanivel Thiagarajan said, "Being in a public domain, Vijay Sethupathi will speak his mind thoughtfully and courageously regardless of the governments. Like the crores of people, I am also the fan of Vijay Sethupathi." The reports say that Palanivel Thiagarajan has deeply admired Vijay Sethupathi's trait of bringing a change. The actor has long been campaigning about social issues. 

Vijay Sethupathi has expressed that he is also a big fan of Palanivel Thiagarajan for his clear vision and said that he feels that he is in safe hands. He further said that sports are a place where caste and creed have no business and he also urged that measures should be initiated to completely curb the discrimination that happens in schools. 

As a strong critic of money-for-vote, Vijay Sethupathi has once asked the people to vote for a major reason of removing the politicians, that they hate, from power. He had advised the people not to follow the party but to look at the characters of the candidates before voting. Vijay Sethupathi has also been helping backward students in getting jobs. Further to his social service, he has earned love and respect from the fans for his versatile acting. 

On the work front, Vijay Sethupathi awaits the release of Vignesh Shivan's directorial 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal' in which he played the lead role and the release of Lokesh Kanagaraj's directorial 'Vikram' in which he acted with Kamal Haasan and Fahadh Faasil. Vijay Sethupathi was last seen in the movie 'Kadaisi Vivasayi' directed by Manikandan.
