Is the father of the deceased IIT student to meet the Chief Minister?

While the mystery behind the death of IIT Madras student Fathima Latheef had erupted heated allegations and protests against one of India's reputed institutions in demanding justice for the student, the reports have anticipated that Abdul Latheef, the father of Fathima Latheef would be meeting Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Edappadi Palaniswami on the afternoon of Friday, about a week after the death of her daughter in the premises of IIT Madras.

On November 9th, Fathima Latheef, a native of Kerala who was pursuing her first-year postgraduate course in Humanities and Social Services had allegedly committed suicide in the premises of the institute and while it was initially told that she could have hanged herself by citing low marks in the examinations, her suicide note that was in her mobile phone had revealed that she could have been harassed by her department and by the professors which have now ignited huge protests to demand action against the professors whom she had referred in her suicide note.

Amidst the series of protests hosted by the students union on Thursday in front of the institute, the Chennai police commissioner had visited IIT to review the investigations after which he stated that the case will be transferred to the Central Crime Branch who will be exposing the reason behind the death of Fathima Latheef.

By having been reported with embarrassing and uncertain scenes, Fathima's father Abdul Latheef, who expressed his despair that the IIT authorities would pressurize the police department to tamper the mobile phone which carries the suicide note, has been expected to table a meet with the state's Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami on Friday.

The reports say that on November 8th, 2019 Fathima Latheef, the recent suicide victim of IIT Madras, lastly spoke with her mother and told her that she would be turning off the mobile phone by citing to prepare for her semester examinations and her mother tried to reach her friends as Fathima's phone remained switched off after which the family was contacted by the hostel warden who informed that Fathima had hanged herself to death the next day.
