Great people, great memories! Kamal Hassan shares a nostalgic pic from Indian 2 sets!

Updates on the filming of Indian 2 are being released periodically as production continues. In addition to directing Ram Charan in New Zealand for RC 15, director Shankar has returned to Chennai to begin filming Indian 2. Over the past few days, the cast and crew have reportedly been filming in an information technology park in Chennai.

While filming, actor Kamal Haasan tweeted a photo of himself in his iconic Senapathy costume next to a statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The maverick actor wrote,  "I am standing under the statue of hero Netaji Subash Chandra Bose, which was unveiled 25 years ago by Mr. M Karunanidhi on the same day for the shooting of 'Indian 2'. Great people, great memories."

In the first part of Indian, Kamal Haasan portrayed Chandrabose Senapathy, a commander in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's Indian National Army. After this, similar events are anticipated for the sequel, which is currently in development. Filmmaker Jeyamohan mentioned in an earlier interview that the sequel's focus is on the father more and the flashback portion is already seen in the first film. Sources also revealed that Kamal Haasan will be seen in a variety of roles from various time periods.

The film is set for release in the second half of 2023. Peter Hein, who has won national awards for his stunt choreography has been brought to direct this film's action sequence. In addition to Siddharth, other notable actors, such as Kajal Aggarwal, Bobby Simha, Rakul Preet Singh, and Priya Bhavani Shankar, are featured in the film. Anirudh Ravichander is in charge of the movie's musical score, which is being produced by Lyca Productions with a lavish budget.
