'I am here...This is what I wanted to tell you': A video message from Ukraine President Zelensky!

Amid bracing up the Russian invasion, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has on Saturday released a video in which he had rebutted the fake news and asserted that he will not be leaving the country. He took the video on a selfie cam with the background of the war-hit city of Kyiv. His video has been going viral and has become his affirmation that there is no looking back.

He said, "I am here. We will not lay down any weapons. We will defend our state, because our weapons are our truth." He spoke about the circulation of fake news that he had called the Ukrainian army to get disarmed. He said, "A lot of fake information has appeared on the internet saying that I allegedly called on our army to lay down its arms and that evacuation is underway."

In the midst of veins of war, Zelensky declared, "Our truth is that this is our land, our country, our children, and we will protect all of this. This is what I wanted to tell you. Glory to Ukraine!." He was standing on the streets of Kyiv and he also had rejected the offer from the US government for his evacuation. According to Associated Press, Zelensky was asked to evacuate with the help of the US government.

However, he had turned down the offer and instead he asked for more ammunition to fight the Russian invasion. He said, "The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride." Earlier, Russia has vetoed the resolution of the United Nations Security Council against its invasion of Ukraine. Reacting to Moscow's blockade, Zelensky tweeted that the draft resolution was co-sponsored by an unprecedented number of United Nations Member States and stressed that the world is with Ukraine.

He said, "As Russia continues to attack Kyiv, the draft resolution is co-sponsored by an unprecedented number of UN Member States. This proves: the world is with us, the truth is with us, the victory will be ours!."
