Sainikesh was rejected by the Indian Army twice because of his height. He is now fighting for Ukraine against Russia as part of the Georgian National Legion Paramilitary unit.

However, it is not yet clear how long the ceasefire will be in place and how long the evacuation routes would remain open.

Putin has been sending strong signals - particularly to the West that the Zelensky regime would be ousted and the pro-Kremlin government would be installed in Kyiv.

On Wednesday, the student's father had said that the government has given him an assurance that his son's remains would be brought home within two days. 

Currently, the Indian government has been deploying the measures and forces to evacuate the Indians from Ukraine through its Operation Ganga.

The admission has come after Ukraine has said that its defence forces had killed thousands of Russians and bombed the defence establishments and missile systems of the neighbour-turned-adversary. 

Reacting to Moscow's blockade, Zelensky tweeted that the draft resolution was co-sponsored by an unprecedented number of United Nations Member States and stressed that the world is with Ukraine. 

British Ambassador to the UN, Barbara Woodward said, "Make no mistake, Russia is isolated. It has no support for the invasion of Ukraine."

He further claimed that nobody intends to occupy Ukraine and denied the claims from Ukraine that Russian forces had hit civilian infrastructure.

The UN Refugee Agency has said 1,00,000 people have so far been forced to flee their homes with thousands leaving the country.
