Watch: A heart wrenching video where a Ukrainian father waves a tearful goodbye to her daughter!

Ukraine is fighting the biggest invasion since the second World War as the Russian troops enter and capture several parts of the former Soviet colony. While Ukraine has fewer military personnel to counter what it calls Russian aggression, the government in Kyiv had called the common people to join the fight. As Russia advances, Ukrainian men are preparing for warfare while women and children are fleeing their homes and cities.

Amid the ongoing Russian invasion, the Ukrainian border agency has banned men between the ages of 18 and 60 from leaving the country. The aim of this measure is to call such men to join the Ukrainian forces to fight against Russia. The agency has claimed that the ban will guarantee Ukraine's defence and the organization of timely mobilization. As men under such age are staying in the war-torn country, women and children have started their journey with plight and despair.

When thousands have begun to flee their homeland, a heart wrenching video is now going viral across the globe. In the video, a Ukrainian father is seen giving a tearful goodbye to his daughter as they bid farewell with the hope of an imminent reunion. The video was shot at a safe zone and the man can be seen hugging and kissing his daughter and his wife moments before they get on board a vehicle to flee the country. The girl has begun to cry loudly amid the bombings and missile strikes.

Speaking to a news agency, a Ukrainian has said, "Families are being forced to take the agonizing decision to split up. Women and children are heading to the safe zones while the men stay behind to fight to protect their homes." According to reports, the ban on people between 18 to 60 from leaving the country will temporarily remain in force for the duration of martial law declared on Thursday by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He had signed a decree ordering a general mobilization.

As per martial law, the control of Ukraine will temporarily fall under the military and all Ukrainians who can carry arms have been urged to defend their homeland. While men are staying on the battlefield, women and children are fast-moving to evade the Russian invasion, which has triggered a sea of refugees. The UN Refugee Agency has said 1,00,000 people have so far been forced to flee their homes with thousands leaving the country.

UNHCR Spokeswoman Shabia Mantoo said, "We believe that some 100,000 people must have already left their homes and may be displaced inside the country, and several thousand have crossed international borders. " While Ukrainians are bracing up painful separation, the country has also been reporting hundreds of casualties caused by the Russian invasion, which has spurred global outrage against Moscow and on the other hand, Ukraine has been filled by global solidarity.
