'I thank the people of Kerala for...': In a debacle in Kerala, BJP sees a good show!

Amid conceding the defeat against the Left Democratic Front (LDF) in the local body polls in Kerala as the state had rejected the prospect for the party to serve the majority of the local bodies, the Central ruling BJP has closed its campaign with a debacle at a high time when the state is ahead of the assembly polls.

Following the defeat, BJP National President JP Nadda had thanked the voters in Kerala for giving an improved mandate for the party in the local body polls. According to reports, despite the defeat as BJP couldn't able to reach anywhere close to its plans, the Central ruling party had made some gains with Nadda saying that the BJP workers in the state had worked tirelessly.

According to the Election Commission of Kerala, the state ruling LDF has been leading in all levels of local bodies and emerging victorious amid a series of allegations leveled by the opposition parties. Out of 941 Gram panchayats, LDF is leading in 514 panchayats while Congress-led UDF (United Democratic Front) has been leading in 375 panchayats while BJP-led NDA (National Democratic Alliance) has been leading in 23 panchayats by the time of writing this content.

LDF has been leading in Block Panchayats, District Panchayats, and Corporations and both the national parties are trailing. However, as a sign of relief, Congress has been leading in the race for municipalities as out of 86 municipalities, Congress is leading in 45 while LDF is leading in 35 whereas NDA has been leading only in two municipalities. In the race for six corporations, LDF and Congress have been leading in three corporations each while BJP hadn't opened its account in Block Panchayats, District Panchayats, and Corporations.

In the race for the local body polls, the ruling LDF has emerged victorious and the remarkable victory has given a crucial surge for the Pinarayi Vijayan government and a strong prefix for the state ruling party to face the upcoming assembly polls which would be taking place in April-May next year. The Central ruling party has settled for third place in the local body polls and eventually ended with a major setback. On the other side, Congress is still showing that it is yet to repair its weakening ship as the national party is getting eroded in all levels of elections, pushing the party for a strong introspection.

Following the defeat, BJP National President JP Nadda has thanked the people of Kerala for giving the party an improved mandate in the local body elections, and with this mandate, the party will continue to expose the corrupt, communal, and hypocrite politics of both LDF and UDF. Taking to Twitter, Nadda said, "I thank the people of Kerala for giving an improved mandate to BJP in Local Body Elections. @BJP4Keralam President @surendranbjp Ji & Karyakartas worked tirelessly & with this mandate, we will continue to expose the corrupt, communal & hypocrite politics of both LDF & UDF fronts."
