The Chief minister of Indian state of Tamilnadu Edapadi K Palaniswami will become the first chief minister of the state to visit foreign countries over past years and his first foreign tour as Chief minister has been one of the hot topics in the Chief secretariat in Chennai.
This international tour has been planned to invite and to attract foreign investments to the state in developing its potential, prosperity and opportunities where he will take off from Chennai on August 28th and he will directly land in London and he is expected to speak with Indian and Tamil community in London to encourage them to invest in Tamilnadu and he has also been scheduled to participate in the investment summit in London. After wrapping up his London tour, he will depart from Heathrow and will land in the United states in his second leg of the tour where it has been planned that he will visit the state of New York and New Jersey to understand and to examine the economic corridors that the country has been constructed in various areas.
The sources added that the important departments like industry, health, education and energy, and cattle resources will be on his file throughout his foreign tour and stated that the ministers and secretaries of all the respective departments will accompany the Chief minister on his tour. Two days back, the Chief minister had chaired the meet to set up the framework on his tour at the time when former Indian finance minister P Chidambaram has been taken into custody by the Central Bureau of Investigation on illegal foreign investments. The meet had seen the presence of embassy staffs of United states and United Kingdom and the respective ministers.
The reports from the council of ministers had said that the tour of Chief minister will attract the ways and investments of implementing digitized education, solar power plants in the energy sector, industrial investments, the ways of enhancing the cattle fields and launching air ambulance scheme.

The reports further revealed that while flagging his first foreign tour, Chief minister Palaniswami has kept his foreign tour and his foreign agendas behind the screens while the government's chief secretary had shown his interest on attracting continuous foreign investments. It also stated that the Chief minister had pictured his clear visit only to Prime minister Narendra Modi and to Home minister Amit Shah, which has some of the truth buried underneath.
The reports have been painting his foreign visit with speculations that he is most likely going to take part in the meeting in the United states which is expected to table the agenda of Adani's next project of constructing a port in Sri Lanka where the project will also have the presence of industrialists from Tamilnadu. His party ADMK has been observing mutual interest in the United states since the late M G Ramachanadran was Chief minister and the central ruling party BJP has asked the industrialists in the United states, who had aided Ramachanadran during his tenure, to aid Palaniswami during his visit.
Not only Sri Lanka but the developed countries like United states and England had shown interest of attracting investment in its soil except in defense industry and so is Israel, which carpets the investments in its country where Tamilnadu state minister for industries had already visited Israel while the Chief minister Palaniswami had proclaimed that he will soon visit Israel.
