It's official! Makers of Dhanush’s Captain Miller drop the film's release date

The wait is over for the fans, who are eagerly anticipating Dhanush's next big release, ‘Captain Miller’. The film, which is a period action-adventure set in the 1930s, has been cleared by the censor board with a U/A certificate and is all set to hit the theatres on January 12, 2024, as a grand Pongal treat.

The film, which is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, has been creating a lot of buzz ever since its announcement video was released last year. The video gave a sneak peek into the film’s theme of British Raj and introduced the characters of Dhanush, who plays the titular role of Captain Miller, a rebel leader who fights against the oppressive colonial rule, and Kannada superstar Dr Shivarajkumar, who plays his mentor and ally.

The film also features Telugu actor Sundeep Kishan, who plays a British officer, and Priyanka Arul Mohan, who plays the female lead and Dhanush’s love interest. The film is directed by Arun Matheswaran, who is known for gritty raw films Saani Kaayidham and Rocky.

The director has promised that the film will be a thrilling ride of rebellion and revolution, with stunning visuals and high-octane action sequences. The film’s music is composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar, who has delivered two tracks from the film.

‘Captain Miller’ is one of the most awaited movies of Dhanush, who has a busy line-up of projects in the pipeline. The actor is currently shooting for his  directorials DD3, and multiple projects. He is also move n to Tere Ishq Mein with Anand L Rai. . He has also signed a movie with Sekhar Kammula, which will mark his second debut in Telugu cinema.
