Jai Bhim goes for gold...Fans celebrate the movie's iconic milestone!

Amid the controversy that was stirred by a fallacious claim, Suriya starred Jai Bhim is walking strong across and beyond the borders. The movie, which is inspired by true events, was released on November 2, directly on Amazon Prime Video. Jai Bhim has garnered immense reception for reciting the story of a tribal woman fighting against the power for justice.

Jai Bhim has scripted a breakthrough for Suriya's career and when the movie is going to hit one month after its release, it is inching closer to adding another feather of global achievement to its cap. In what has become a crucial feat, Jai Bhim has now been submitted for the prestigious Golden Globe Awards 2022. Golden Globe has been regarded as the second biggest global recognition for cinema after the Oscars and Jai Bhim is one among the two Tamil movies which made it to the global stage.

The other Tamil movie is PS Vinoth Raj's directorial 'Koozhangal' and these two movies have been submitted under the category of Best Non-English Language Film. The fans have been celebrating the development as Jai Bhim has been unstoppable by breaking all controversies. The Golden Globe Awards 2022 ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on January 9, 2022.

Rajsekar Pandian, the Co-producer in 2D Entertainment that bankrolled Jai Bhim, took to social media and wrote, "Thank you @goldenglobes for featuring Jai Bhim." Earlier this month,  Jai Bhim has recorded an iconic milestone by becoming the highly-rated movie on IMDb, an online database of information related to films and television programs. IMDb is a global platform that rates movies based on the votes from the fans.

Jai Bhim has received a rating of 9.6 on IMDb and such rating was always on a chase by the Tamil movies and this magnum opus has ended it successfully. Wishes have been pouring in for the movie team for touching this global feat, which displayed that the movie had a wider reach beyond Tamil. Jai Bhim was released directly on Amazon Prime Video on November 2 and it was dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

It talks about the custodial torture and caste discrimination faced by the tribal community in 1995. Former Judge of Madras High Court Justice Chandru was an advocate at that time when he had courageously fought against human rights violations and this battle was related to a bleak story where a tribal woman, who belonged to the Irular community, fought in the court against the custodial torture given by the police to her husband, who would eventually die in the police custody. The movie revolves around how women from a background community endure an ordeal in fighting against injustice.

It also has shown how the ignorance of the backward community is being used by the dominant caste people to conceal their crimes. Suriya has played Chandru in the movie and through Jai Bhim, Suriya had appeared as an advocate for the first time. Bankrolled by Suriya and Jyothika under their own banner 2D Entertainment, the movie is directed by TJ Gnanavel and while Suriya plays the lead role, Prakash Raj, Rajisha Vijayan, Lijomol Jose, Rao Ramesh, Guru Somasundaram, and Sibi Thomas had played important roles. Sean Roldan has composed the music.
