Kamal Haasan, the versatile actor and filmmaker, is not slowing down anytime soon. The 69-year-old star has a slew of films in various stages of production, and fans are eagerly waiting for his upcoming releases. However, not all is well in Haasan’s camp, as his film with director H Vinoth, which was launched with the tentative title ‘KH233’, has been shelved.

The film’s makers confirmed the news in their latest social post, where they mentioned their other projects, but not ‘KH233’. The reason for the film’s cancellation is not known, but it is speculated that it might be due to creative differences or budget issues. The film was supposed to be a crime thriller, and was said to be with a strong social message.

Meanwhile, the most anticipated film of Haasan is ‘Indian 2’, the sequel to the 1996 blockbuster ‘Indian’, which featured him in dual roles of a freedom fighter and his son.  The film, directed by Shankar, is expected to hit the screens this summer and will see Haasan reprise his iconic role of Senapathy, the vigilante who fights against corruption. The film also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth, and Bobby Simha in pivotal roles.

Another film that has generated a lot of buzz is ‘Thug Life’, which marks Haasan’s reunion with director Mani Ratnam after 37 years. The duo last worked together in the 1987 classic ‘Nayakan’, which is considered one of the best films of Indian cinema.

‘Thug Life’ is said to be a gangster drama, and will feature Haasan in a never-seen-before avatar.  Haasan has also announced a film under the direction of stunt duo Anbuarivu, who are known for their work in films like ‘Kaithi’ and ‘Master’. The film, titled ‘KH235’, was officially launched a few days ago, and is touted to be an action thriller. The film’s cast and crew details are yet to be revealed.

Kamal Haasan is also to be seen in director Nag Ashwin's mega-budget sci-fi film ‘Kalki 2898AD’, starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. Haasan will reportedly play a cameo role in the film, which is set in a futuristic world.
