Karthi 27: Karthi to team up with this powerful star for the first time! Here's what we know

The much-anticipated film "Karthi27" has officially embarked on its regular shoot today in Kumbakonam, commencing a  single stretch schedule. The film, featuring the duo Karthi and the versatile Arvind Swami, for the firs time is under the able direction of Premkumar, renowned for his critically acclaimed work on "96."

"Karthi27" holds the promise of captivating fans with the combined talents of Karthi and Arvind Swami, coupled with the directorial finesse of Premkumar. The 30-day single stretch schedule in Kumbakonam marks the beginning of what is expected to be a visually enthralling journey, amplified by Mahendhiran Jayaraju's cinematography and Govind Vasantha's musical prowess.

The much-anticipated movie produced by Jyotika-Suriya’s 2D Entertainment, said to be featured enthralling Jallikattu sequences. This film is all set to hit the screens in 2024 and promises be spellbound. Premkumar, known for his directorial brilliance in "96," sets the stage for "Karthi27" to be another memorable cinematic venture.

The film stars Karthi, who was last seen in the much-discussed "Japan," directed by Raju Murugan of 'Joker' fame. Despite the mixed reviews, "Japan" managed to create a buzz and impressively performed at the box office.  Distributed by Annapurna Studios in the Telugu states, the film showcased Anu Emmanuel as the leading lady. Directed by the acclaimed Raju Murugan, a journalist-turned-director and national award recipient for 'Joker,' the film was produced by Dream Warrior Pictures.

On other hand, the actor's Karthi 26 is being directed by the talented Nalan Kumarasamy, known for his exceptional work in Soodhu Kavvum and Kaadhalum Kadandhu Pogum. The film is produced by the reputed KE Gnanavel Raja under the banner of Studio Green. The female lead in Karthi 26 is none other than the talented Krithi Shetty, who made her Tamil debut in The Warrior, directed by Lingusamy.
