Karthi is currently enjoying his films' consecutive box-office successes. The actor recently celebrated the 25th day that his most recent movie, Sardar.

While the entire film fraternity is in shock, stars from Kollywood have been mourning the demise of the veteran Telugu actor.

The first look poster of the movie was unveiled on Monday - November 14 and it promises Karthi's quirky ride.

Ponniyin Selvan has two parts and the first part was released on September 30, opening to a trendsetting gross at the global box office by breaching the Rs 500-crore mark.

The movie, which was released on October 21 in time for Diwali, has had a fantastic box office performance and received mostly favorable reviews. 

Sardar had a theatrical release on October 21 during the occasion of Diwali and has tasted a stupendous theatrical run with more positive reviews. 

It is the first time that Karthi and Sivakarthikeyan have clashed directly at the box office after both of their films were released on October 21.

The sequel to PS Mithran's 'Sardar', which got released a week ago and received favourable reviews, was officially announced at a success meet on Tuesday.

Popular film critics and analysts wrote that the first half is 'well researched' and 'informative'. They said that the movie is very gripping and informative and Karthi scores big in the interval bang.

Karthi is portraying multi-characters as seen in trailer, by playing a double role. The film's trailer was released on night hours of Friday in a lavish event that was held in Chennai.
