The much-awaited Tamil film ‘Leo’, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and starring Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, is all set to hit the screens on October 19, 2023. The film has been generating a lot of buzz among the fans and the media, especially after the Tamil Nadu government granted permission for the film to have five shows per day in cinemas, including a special 7 AM show for the Navratri holiday period.

However, some reports suggested that the film might also have early 4 AM screenings, which would be a rare feat for any film in Tamil cinema. The fans were eagerly waiting for the official confirmation of the 4 AM shows, which would have added to the excitement and frenzy around the film.

But, their hopes were dashed when Tamil Nadu’s Information and Publicity Minister, Saminathan at a press conference, clarified that there will be no 4 AM shows for ‘Leo’. He said that the state government had only approved one special show for each day of the holiday period, which runs from October 19 to October 24. He added that the exact timings of the special show have not been decided yet, but there is no chance of a 4 AM screening.

He also explained why Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer’, which was released on October 2, did not get an additional special show. He said that the film’s producers did not approach the government to request such a show, and hence it was not granted.

The minister’s clarification has put an end to the speculations and rumours surrounding ‘Leo’ and its show timings. The film is expected to be a blockbuster at the box office, as it features two of the biggest stars of Tamil cinema in a face-off. The film’s trailer and songs have already received a huge response from the audience. The film is also released in Telugu, Hindi and Kannada languages.
