The controversy stemmed when Mansoor, who played a brief role in Vijay's last release ‘Leo’, said that he did not share screen space with Trisha, the heroine of the film.

"I sincerely wish that you all watch, enjoy, and shower the same support that you all have given me so far,"

Some are also questioning his motive and credibility behind his apology.

"I did not speak with any intention of causing harm and with any malicious intent."

Several other actors and celebrities have also expressed their support for Trisha and their outrage over Mansoor’s remarks.

The film is produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studio, with Jagadish Palanisamy serving as the co-producer.
