Leo: Vijay - Lokesh Kanagaraj's actioner wraps its 50 days of theatre run!

Leo the action thriller starring Vijay, has completed 50 glorious days in theatres and is still going strong. The film, which released on 19th October 2023, has smashed all the records and become the highest-grossing film of Vijay’s career. It has also received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike for its gripping storyline and stellar performances.

The film is running in theatres across locations in Tamil Nadu, and is still attracting crowds even after 50 days of its release. The film is running on almost 20 screens in the state, which is a rare feat in the current scenario. 

‘Leo’ has earned over Rs 620 crore at the box office worldwide, and has surpassed the collections of Vijay’s previous films such as ‘Master’, ‘Bigil’, and ‘Sarkar’. The film has also performed well in overseas markets, especially in the Middle East, Europe, and North America. The film has also been dubbed and released in multiple languages, such as Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, and has received a positive response from the non-Tamil-speaking audience.

‘Leo’ had its Netflix debut a week ago, in multiple languages and the film will soon be streaming in English as well on the same platform, and is set to reach a wider audience across the globe. The film has also been praised for its technical excellence, with Manoj Paramahamsa handling the cinematography and Philomin Raj handling the editing.

The film also boasts of an ensemble cast that reads like a who’s who of the industry, including Vijay, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Trisha, Madonna Sebastian, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, George Maryan, Priya Anand, and Mathew Thomas. The film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and co-produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studios and Jagadish Palanisamy.
