The Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) is expanding with the upcoming release of 'Leo', starring Vijay in the lead role. The film, which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj himself, is said to be a spy thriller with a twist. The twist is that 'Leo' will have connections with the previous LCU films, 'Vikram' and 'Kaithi'.

Leo will feature cameos from Suriya and Fahadh Faasil, who played pivotal roles in Vikram. Suriya, who appeared as Rolex in the climax of Vikram, will reportedly interact with Vijay's character in Leo through a phone call. Also, Fahadh Faasil, who played a secret agent as Amar in 'Vikram', will be seen making a short appearance in 'Leo'.

'Leo' is expected to be a grand spectacle that will showcase Vijay's skills as a gangster with alter ego, and an action hero. The film also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, Mysskin, and Gautham Vasudev Menon in important roles. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who has previously collaborated with Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vijay in 'Master'.

'Leo' is slated to release on Diwali 2023, and the fans are eagerly waiting for the teaser and the trailer of the film. Leo marks the second collaboration of Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj after their blockbuster Master. The film is being made on a budget of Rs 250-300 crore and is being planned as a pan-Indian release in multiple languages.

Vijay reportedly agreed to make Leo a pan-Indian film after being convinced by the producers to make it bigger and reach a wider audience. The LCU fans are hoping that 'Leo' will be a blockbuster hit that will take the franchise to the next level.
