Leo: Producer Dhananjayan clarifies for no early morning shows in Tamil Nadu

The film buffs and die-hards who waiting with bated breath for Vijay's ‘Leo’, which is slated to hit the screens on October 19. But the passionate fans of Vijay are crestfallen with the recent news that 'Leo' won't grace the silver screen before 9 a.m. Their hearts yearn to witness the magic of their favorite star's performance in the early hours of the day. Hoping against hope, they anticipate special screenings to be arranged to satiate their fervor.

However, there is some disappointing news for the fans who are hoping to watch ‘Leo’ at 9 a.m. The producer of the film, In a recent video interview with Behindwoods, Dhananjayan revealed that early morning shows for ‘Leo’ will not be available. Theatres in Tamil Nadu have been instructed to avoid 9 a.m. shows as 11:30 a.m. is the default and ideal time for movie screenings and shows.

Even 9 a.m. is considered a special show, and theatres have to pay a particular price to screen movies at that time. According to government regulations, theatres are only allowed to start operating by 11:30 a.m. The producer’s statement brought sadness to Vijay’s fans as not all theatres will showcase the FDFS at 9 a.m.

The film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Priya Anand, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, Matthew Thomas, and Sandy in pivotal roles. Anurag Kashyap makes a special appearance in the film, and the music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

The film is produced by Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy under the banner of Seven Screen Studio. The film has cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa and editing by Philomin Raj. Leo's Second single, is expected to release on 19 September, 2023, and the audio launch, which is scheduled for 30 September.
