Kamal Haasan's Indian 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the 1996 blockbuster, has been grabbing attention as its shooting ventures across various global locations. After over two years in production, the film is finally nearing completion and is slated for release in 2024. However, the movie encountered a major speed bump during its shoot at the bustling Chennai International Airport.

Reports has it that the film crew was  interrupted by airport officials who insisted they lacked the proper permissions to film in specific areas of the airport. Although the crew had acquired permission to shoot in the departure section, their ambitions extended to capturing a scene in the lavatory area, which unfortunately fell outside their authorized jurisdiction.

Consequently, a rather heated debate erupted between the officials and the spirited film crew, who passionately argued that they had paid a princely sum of Rs.1.24 crore (inclusive of GST) to the airport management for their filming extravaganza.

After a considerable amount of time passed, the matter was eventually resolved, and the cameras started rolling once again, this time armed with the requisite permissions. The film's producer, Lyca Productions, reassured everyone that there were no lingering issues with the shoot and that everything was back on track.

Indian 2 has become the talk of the town in Tamil cinema, with fans eagerly awaiting Kamal Haasan's return as the indomitable Senapathy, a crusader against corruption and injustice. Joining him on this grand cinematic venture are an array of talented stars including Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Samuthirakani, and SJ Suryah.

Adding to the movie's allure, the music is being composed by the maestro Anirudh Ravichander, while the visual aesthetics are being masterfully crafted by the renowned Ravi Varman. Additionally, the film pays homage to the late actor Vivek, who tragically passed away due to a sudden cardiac arrest.

With the airport skirmish now a distant memory, Indian 2 is back on track, marching towards its highly-anticipated release. Fans are eagerly counting down the days, ready to witness Kamal Haasan's enigmatic return and the grandeur that this sequel promises to deliver.
