The much-awaited film ‘Captain Miller’, starring Dhanush and Nimmashivanna in the lead roles, has finally released on January 12th, Friday, and has received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. The film, directed by Arun Madheshwaran, is a historical drama that depicts the struggle of the oppressed castes for the right to enter temples, a basic human right that was denied to them for centuries.

The film has also impressed film producer, politician and former actor Udhayanidhi Stalin, who took to X to express his admiration for the film and its makers. He wrote, “I express my profound appreciation to the acting mastery of @dhanushkraja, Thiru @nimmashivanna, the vision of director #ArunMadheshwaran, the musical brilliance of brother @gvprakash, along with @sathyajothi, @priyankaamohan, stunt master @dhilipaction, and others for crafting the exceptional film #CaptainMiller,"

"This film powerfully highlights the struggle of the oppressed people for the right to temple entry, skillfully made with the broader narrative of human rights within the backdrop of the freedom struggle,” he added. He also praised the film for its realistic portrayal of the social and political scenario of the pre-independence era, and its relevance to the present day. 

‘Captain Miller’ is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, and features a talented ensemble of actors, including Telugu star Sundeep Kishan, who plays a ruthless British officer, and Priyanka Arul Mohan, who plays the love interest of Dhanush. The film also boasts of a talented technical crew, including cinematographer Siddhartha Nuni, editor Nagooran, and dialogue writer Madhan Karky, who has contributed to the film’s script .
