The much-awaited romantic thriller ‘Bommai’, starring SJ Suryah and Priya Bhavani Shankar, is all set to hit the screens on June 16. Ahead of the release, the makers have unveiled a sneak peek of the film that showcases SJ Suryah’s acting prowess.

The actor is seen delivering a three-minute monologue in a single shot without any cuts, leaving the viewers spellbound. The video has gone viral on social media and has received rave reviews from fans and celebrities alike. One of them is director Selvaraghavan, who took to Twitter to appreciate SJ Suryah’s performance and wrote, "Wow! What a performance! Goosebumps  @iam_SJSuryah sir".

‘Bommai’ is a psychological thriller that revolves around the relationship between a doll maker and his wife. The film is directed by Radha Mohan, who is known for his feel-good films such as ‘Mozhi’ and ‘Abhiyum Naanum’. The film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and the film also features Chandini Tamilarasan, Hitesh S. Bharadwaaj,  Joshua Parisutham  in supporting roles.

In a recent interview, SJ Suryah opened up about his acting influences and his first fan encounter. He said that he was inspired by Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan as actors and directors. He also recalled how he used to ask for lifts from bike and car owners when he was struggling in the industry.

He said that he was surprised when one of them recognized him as a director and praised his work and he felt happy and motivated by that incident. The film has been censored with a U/A certificate and has a runtime of 2 hours and 25 minutes. The film is expected to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller with a strong emotional core. The film has been produced by Angel Studios MH LLP and has been distributed by Sakthi Film Factory.
