SRH had handed over the fourth consecutive defeat for the CSK, a disappointing milestone that has put Jadeja's captaincy under a whirl of pressure.

CSK will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 9 at Dr Patil Sports Academy Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Jadeja's fleet has ample time to fix the flaws and frame new strategies. 

With the second defeat in the row, CSK is all set to take on the Punjab Kings on April 3, and of course, in the same Brabourne Stadium. 

While Lucknow is going to miss all-rounder Jason Holder again, CSK will be welcoming Moeen Ali for the first time in the tournament and he will be replacing Mitchell Santner.

With Jadeja getting ready to come to the middle for the toss, the Chennai fans would be witnessing the first season after MS Dhoni relinquishing CSK's captaincy.

Reacting to the change of baton, Sehwag said that Dhoni and Chennai will remain a connection and that Chennai was fortunate to have a leader like Dhoni.

Dhoni has retired in all forms of cricket in 2020 and he was captaining CSK following his retirement. As he has now handed over the captaincy of CSK, he is no longer the captain of any form of cricket. 

The announcement of transition was made on Thursday -March 24, two days ahead of the commencement of IPL 2022 where the CSK will be opening the season. 

With the new role, Jadeja makes history by becoming the third player to lead CSK after MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina, who led the team for a brief tenure.
