Stage is set in Ayodhya! Do you know how much donation has been received for Ram temple?

As the groundbreaking ceremony of Lord Ram Temple in Ayodhya is just hours ahead with Prime Minister Narendra Modi laying the foundation stone, the ceremony has caught eyes beyond borders as the Indian community living overseas has been making the historical event as a grand one.

While Ayodhya has made fullest preparations for the ceremony, which would kickstart the construction of Lord Ram Temple in the then disputed site, the treasurer of the Ram Janmabhoomi trust has revealed how much donation has been received for the construction of the temple. On Tuesday, treasurer of Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Swami Govind Dev Giri said that the trust has received over Rs 30 crores as the donation as of August 4, 2020.

According to ANI, he said, 'The trust has received over Rs 30 crores as of August 4, as per my estimate. By tomorrow - August 5, we will receive an additional fund of Rs 11 crores from the people residing in India. Apart from this additional fund, Rs 7 crores have also been raised from people living abroad. However, the trust can't receive the donation from abroad until it receives certification under the Foreign Contribution Regulations Act (FCRA)'.

The treasurer further stated that the donations from abroad will be put on hold.  According to the reports, the stage is set for the ceremony which would be attended by around 175 important dignitaries and these dignitaries include the leaders of the Muslim groups. The Prime Minister is expected to lay the foundation stone at around 12.30 pm in the presence of the priests, saints, and seers.

Along with the Prime Minister, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, and Ram Mandir Trust Chief Nritya Gopaldas will also share the stage at the event while the district administration has installed giant screens for the live telecast of the groundbreaking ceremony.

On Tuesday, the trust has released the proposed design of the Ram temple. Senior BJP leader LK Advani, who led the Ram temple movement in the 1990s, will be attending the event through the video-conferencing owing to the spread of COVID-19. On Tuesday, Advani said that Ram Mandir will represent India as a strong nation and he further said that it will be a historic and an emotional day for him and for all Indians.
