On Monday, Chennai has reported 364 cases through which the state crossed 7000 cases by reporting 7,117 cases so far.

According to the Chief Minister, the special economic package of Rs 20 lakh crore is against federalism and the Center is attempting to dominate the states.

The fresh schedules for the secondary and higher secondary board examinations have come exactly a day after the state has been imposed with the fourth spell of the lockdown.

According to the ICMR, India has tested 23,02,792 samples so far as of Monday of which Tamil Nadu has the highest number by testing 3,37,841 samples.

On May 5th, the state has crossed 5000 cases and within a fortnight, the state has added nearly 7000 cases to its count.

Chennai has crossed 6000 cases after recording the sharpest rises since the beginning of May. With the current reporting of 332 cases, the city has recorded 6,271.
