Known to be the supporter of Edappadi Palaniswami, Arukutty has thrown a bombshell in the party demanding that both the leaders must step resign from the party.

By citing that everything was going well with the present dual leadership system, Panneerselvam had expressed his surprise over the sudden clamour for a single leadership. 

The voice for the single leadership in the party wasn't new but this time, the chorus for the single leader is accepted and backed by the senior leaders, who once rejected such claims.

He had handed over that post to his close aide Elangovan, who has been in the eyes of the state police in connection with the Kodanad heist and murder case. 

The police team had grilled Sasikala with the questions about the documents and valuables that were robbed from the Kodanad estate and the officials said that she was cooperating.

In his address, he had thanked the opposition leaders Edappadi Palaniswami and Panneerselvam as they were present in the assembly during his speech. 

The directive from the court has become a major fiasco for VK Sasikala in her campaign for a political comeback and taking over the party.

Edappadi Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam are still finding it hard to stand in the same line regarding the political future of the party and Sasikala's plan to take over the party.

ADMK leaders Edappadi Palaniswami and Panneerselvam aren't ready to fix the ongoing crisis but the political observers say that the ADMK would soon witness the convergence of voice for a change in leadership. 

As he nears his first complete year as the Chief Minister, he has been drawing out a plan to defeat the rival ADMK and capture what remains to be the latter's fortress.
