Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President MK Stalin has visited the constituency and toured various places to seek votes for the DMK backed Congress candidate EVKS Elangovan.

Expressing condolences to the families of the deceased girl students, Chief Minister MK Stalin announced solatium of Rs 2 lakh to each family. 

While MK Stalin would roll out his campaign in the Erode East constituency for a day, Udhayanidhi Stalin would be touring the constituency for three days.

In April 2022, Chief Minister MK Stalin visited the Mohalla Clinics in New Delhi and after being touched by the services offered by these clinics, Stalin then announced that such clinics will be established in Tamil Nadu.
