From intense political thrillers to fantasy adventures, and heartwarming tales, the upcoming year promises a diverse range of entertainment for fans.

The film also stars Lallu, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman, and Gaurav Venkatesh in pivotal roles.

The film is said to be a patriotic period drama based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who was martyred in a counter-insurgency operation in Kashmir in 2014.

 SK21 features Sai Pallavi as the female lead, and marks her first collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan.

The film also has CH Sai as the cinematographer, Kalaivanan as the editor, Rajeevan as the art director and Stefan Richter as the stunt choreographer.

SK21 marks the first collaboration between him and Sivakarthikeyan, who have both been successful in their respective fields.

According to speculations, G.V. Prakash Kumar will be the composer, which marks his first collaboration with the actor. 

Sivakarthikeyan also has other projects in the pipeline, such as 'Maaveeran', a political satire directed by National Award winner Madonne Ashwin,
