Several political leaders and activists are staunchly attacking the user for the obnoxious comment against the actor's daughter under the guise of demanding him to drop the movie.  

Vijay Sethupathi has posted Muralidharan's statement in his tweet and responding to the cricketer's statement, the actor said "Thank you and Goodbye".

The actor is yet to comment on his tweet that whether he thanked the cricketer for his concern for him or signaled that he had dropped the movie. 

He met the director in his office during which he was asked to play the younger version of the Sri Lankan cricketer in the movie while the elder version would be played by Vijay Sethupathi. 

Radikaa Sarathkumar had asked why no questions were raised against Sunrisers Hyderabad, owned by Kalanithi Maran,  which has roped in Muralidharan as the coach of the team.

On Thursday, director Bharathiraja had asked the actor to avoid the biopic and he called Muralidharan as a traitor, who relished when the people of his own community had got killed. 

The new Malayalam movie, which is yet to be titled, will be roping in some of the growing talents in its crew. 

Along with Bharathiraja, Chief of Naam Tamilar Katchi Seeman, and director Cheran had also demanded Vijay Sethupathi to drop the movie.

"We, as the producers, assure that this film will not showcase any scenes that would belittle the struggles of Eelam Tamils in Sri Lanka or hurt their sentiments in any way", the makers asserted.

Vijay Sethupathi, who is the actor with rising stardom, had drawn flak last week after he officially announced that he would be reprising the Sri Lankan spinner in the latter's biopic.
