Vijay Sethupathi gets ready for his new movie, amid the unrest over the '800' biopic!

Amid the growing unrest over acting in Sri Lankan Cricketer Muthiah Muralidharan's biopic '800', Vijay Sethupathi has been getting prepared for his next movie, which is expected to kickstart soon. For the first time, Vijay Sethupathi would be joining hands with Nithya Menon and this Malayalam movie will be directed by debutant VS Indu. In what has become Vijay Sethupathi's second Malayalam movie, the film will entirely get shot in Kerala.

Vijay Sethupathi, who has rising stardom across and beyond the borders, has made his debut in Malayalam last year through 'Marconi Mathai' starred by Jayaram and directed by Sanil Kalathil. With his new project, Vijay Sethupathi has a bunch of movies in the pipeline in Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. The new Malayalam movie, which is yet to be titled, will be roping in some of the growing talents in its crew.

According to reports, the movie will be produced by Anto Joseph while '96' fame Govind Vasantha will be composing the music and Joseph Maneesh Madhavan will do cinematography and the shooting is expected to begin soon. Speaking to a news agency, VS Indu, who would be making a directorial debut, said that it has been almost one and a half years since Vijay Sethupathi had signed the film and the shoot was scheduled to begin earlier this year. However, it was deferred due to the COVID-19 lockdown and restrictions.

Vijay Sethupathi has a slew of projects with him and currently, the actor has been shooting for 'Laabam', directed by SP Jananathan and Shruti Haasan will be starring as a female lead. The actor also has finished 'Master', starred by Vijay and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. 'Master' has been one of the much-expected movies in Kollywood and the release has been getting deferred in the wake of the closures of theaters.

Vijay Sethupathi had played a cameo role in 'Ka Pae Ranasignam' which was released on October 2 on the Zee Plex OTT platform and he also has projects like 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendhu Kadhal' directed by Vignesh Shivn. According to reports, Vijay Sethupathi is strongly been expected to play an important role in the Hindi remake of 'Maanagaram', directed by Santhosh Sivan and the actor also has a cameo role in 'Jana Gana Mana' directed by Deepak Sundarrajan in which Tapsee Pannu will be acting as the female lead.

Vijay Sethupathi has currently been surfaced with the outrage and scathing demands by the fans, fraternities, and the Tamil people to drop the movie of '800', which is the biopic of Sri Lankan Cricketer Muthiah Muralidharan. He has been demanded to avoid the movie as the cricketer has turned to be an ardent supporter of Sinhala leaders  Rajapaksas, who executed a genocide and grave human rights violations against the Tamil people living in the island nation during the final stages of the civil war in 2009.

The shooting is expected to start soon and ever since the announcement made and the first motion poster of the biopic was released, Vijay Sethupathi has been facing major flak where fans and veteran directors from the Tamil movie industry have been urging the actor to drop the biopic of the cricketer. However, the actor is yet to air his response on whether he would drop the movie or the demand.
