Thalapathy 67 shooting update: This popular actor shares the deet and deletes later!

Master, was Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj's first time working together and acclaimed the victory. Now the two are getting back together for the film Thalapathy 67, which is expected to be geared wholly by Lokesh Kanagaraj. While  the release of Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film Varisu is set for 12th of this month, the actor has already migrated on to his next film. With a working title of Thalapathy 67, the film promises to deliver on every front for its legion of devoted followers.

It has been reported that Vijay, Trisha, Manobala, and Mansoor Ali Khan will be spending 10 days filming in Chennai for the first schedule. In the film, Vijay plays an elderly gangster and scenes with Trisha will be in flashback portions, as he appears much younger, and there's a love tale between the two of them.   According to the insiders, the shoot is taking place at EVP Film City, and it features a song sequence featuring Vijay and Trisha. The team will also shoot for few days in Kerala and Kashmir in late January as per speculations.

On January 2, production began in Chennai on the film Thalapathy 67. Manobala, the actor-director who also has a narrow role in the film, announced the shooting update on Twitter. He wrote on Monday, "Thalapathi 67-shoot starts today...met lokesh and engal thalapathi...same energy and full swing. first day itself...thool..." Later, he deleted the tweet as the makers of Thalapathy 67 kept the news under wraps, and then apologised to Thalapathy Vijay's fans. He said, "I deleted my tweet...forgive me.."

According to a source from Kollywood insiders, Vijay reportedly compelled the Thalapathy 67 team not to disclose any details about this film before the release of his Pongal film Varisu. 7 Screen Studios will produce the film, and Ratnakumar will pen the screenplay. The score will be composed by Anirudh.

According to the rumours, there will be six villains in the film pitted against Vijay. Though news have focused on Gautham Vasudev Menon, Sanjay Dutt has also been confirmed to join this villainous league with his Tamil debut in Thalapathy 67. It has been strongly speculated that Trisha, Yogi Babu, Mansur Ali Khan has joined the cast, and Suriya, Kamal Hassan have all been cast in cameo roles, and a promotional video for the film has already been shot.
