Suriya clocks in 25 years in cinema and it's a Silver jubilee for this National Award-winning actor. The momentous height achieved by the actor has been celebrated by his ardent fans. On this day in 1997, his debut movie 'Nerukku Ner' was released and after a journey mixed with disappointing and tumult events and with blockbuster success, he is turning pages to write his inspiring cinematic career.

As Suriya is on cloud nine for this remarkable feat, his brother and actor Karthi shared an unseen picture of them on social media and expressed how proud he is of his elder brother. Karthi shared their childhood picture and wrote, "He worked day & night to make his every minus into his greatest plus. He focused only at outperforming his own achievements. As a person, he made his already generous heart even larger and shaped the lives of thousands of deserving kids. That’s my brother!"

In a hilarious reply, Suriya wrote, "Vandhiyadeva (denoting Karthi's role in the upcoming Ponniyin Selvan), how much struggle one should go through by being born as the elder brother (sic)." Their tweets have been going viral as several users adore their brotherhood. The fans of Suriya have been trending the hashtag #25YearsOfCultSuriyaism on social media and they are pouring their wishes to him on reaching more heights.

It's worth noting that before making his acting debut in Paruthiveeran, Karthi preferred to work as an assistant director for Manirathnam, who did make an appearance as an extra in Ayitha Ezhuthu as Michael (played by Suriya) for a bit part. Both Suriya and Karthi have been active in empowering society through uplifting the lives of students and farmers for which they are specially celebrated by the fans and people.
