Simbu, one of the most versatile and charismatic actors in Tamil cinema, has been on a roll with back-to-back stellar performances in ‘Maanadu’ and ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’. He is currently busy with his 48th film, directed by Desingh Periasamy and produced by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International.

Now the hot buzz from insiders is about his 50th film, which is said to be a dream collaboration with two legends of Indian cinema - Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam. According to the latest reports, Simbu will reunite with Mani Ratnam, who directed him in the critically acclaimed ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’, for his milestone project.

This news has sent the fans of Simbu, Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam into a frenzy, as they are eagerly waiting for an official confirmation from the makers. If this project materializes, it will be a historic moment for Tamil cinema, as three generations of superstars will come together for a magnum opus. The film is expected to have music by AR Rahman, who has been a regular collaborator of Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan.

Meanwhile, some other sources claim that Simbu will not play the lead role in ‘KH234’, but will do an important cameo appearance in the film. However, there is no clarity on this speculation and we have to wait for an official word from the team.

Simbu, who is known for his versatility and passion for cinema, has always expressed his admiration for Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam. He has also shared a good rapport with both of them over the years. He was recently seen as a chief guest at the audio launch of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’, where he praised the director and the cast of the film. He also thanked Kamal Haasan for giving him an opportunity to work under his production house.
