Bharathiraja the veteran filmmaker in the Tamil film industry who is renowned for his exceptional contributions to the art of filmmaking. He has given Tamil cinema some of its most iconic films and is celebrated for his unique storytelling style. Now, Bharathiraja is delighted to see his son Manoj Bharathiraja following in his footsteps as a filmmaker.

Manoj, who has acted in a few films, is all set to direct his debut feature titled ‘Margazhi Thingal’. The poster shows Bharathiraja in a rural avatar against a mesmerizing sunset backdrop, which has created a buzz among fans and industry insiders. Produced by Suseenthiran’s Vennila Productions, ‘Margazhi Thingal’ features newcomers in the lead roles and Bharathiraja himself playing a pivotal character. The film will be scored by GV Prakash, a celebrated composer who has lastly composed for Dhanush starrer Vaathi.

‘Margazhi Thingal’ is a village-based film that is expected to appeal to all  the movielovers. Suseenthiran, who penned the script, is known for his realistic and engaging stories that strike a chord with the audience. The film promises to be an emotionally charged drama with a mix of commercial elements that will keep the audience engaged from start to finish.

Shooting for ‘Margazhi Thingal’ is scheduled to begin by the end of April 2023, and the film will be shot in various locations around Theni and Madurai, where Bharathiraja has previously shot some of his iconic films. The film is expected to release later this year or early next year, and fans are eagerly awaiting its arrival.
