Vijay Sethupathi, the versatile actor who has won millions of hearts with his talent and charisma, is all set to achieve a new milestone in his career.  His upcoming film with director Nithilan Swaminathan of Kurangu Bommai fame is titled 'Maharaja' and it will be his 50th film in the industry. The actor last seen in Vetrimaaran's Viduthalai 1, which fallen for rave reviews and responses, and the film debuted in Telugu on today.

Maharaja which is being produced by Passion Studios, began principal photography in February and is nearing completion. The film is being billed as a revenge drama with a twist, and Vijay Sethupathi will be featured in a dual role as he sports two distinct looks.

Other notable actors in the film include Natty Natraj, 'Boys' Manikandan, Arul Doss, and Muniskanth. Soon,  the debut of the film's first poster and its official title to be unveiled by the makers. The film's producer Sudhan said to the leading media portal, “It was a surprise even for us to learn that ours will be Vijay Sethupathi's 50th film,"

"He is playing a unique role in this film, a revenge drama, and will have two looks. We have planned to wrap up the film in 85 days, and so far, we have completed 50 days of the shoot. Vijay Sethupathi's portions will be wrapped up in the next 10 days.” he said.

The film's technical crew includes Kantara's composer Ajaneesh Loknath in the role of music director, along with cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman, editor Philomin Raj, and art director Selva Kumar. The actor will soon be seen in several films, including, Jawan, Merry Christmas, Gandhi Talks, Mumbaikaar, and Viduthalai Part 2. In addition, he has a tiny portion in Mysskin's "Pisaasu 2," which also stars Andrea Jeremiah and Poorna.
