After a striking cameo on Lokesh Kanagaraj's superhit movie 'Vikram', actor Suriya is all set to act in the Hindi remake of 'Soorarai Pottru' in a cameo role as his recent ventures have shown the actor's love for special appearances. After a successful reception in the movie Vikram, Suriya gears up to the rock the screens with another cameo appearance by sharing the screen with Bollywood star Akshay Kumar. 

Suriya had starred in the lead role in the Soorarai Pottru Tamil movie that was released in November 2020 directly on Amazon Prime Video. The movie was helmed by Sudha Kongara and Aparna Balamurali, Paresh Rawal, Mohan Babu, Urvashi, and Karunas played important roles. Soorarai Pottru has received a spectacular reception. 

With huge success, the movie has been praised for major technical aspects including writing, direction, and Suriya's splendid skills. After the blockbuster hit, director Sudha Kongara had this April announced that Akshay Kumar will be starring in the official Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru. Furthermore, Suriya has shared the announcement of the remake with Radhika Madan as the female lead on his Twitter handle. 

Surprisingly, it has then come to light that Suriya will be playing a cameo in the Hindi version of Soorarai Pottru. Notably, Suriya will make his debut in the Bollywood production through this remake as he produces the movie under his own banner '2D Entertainment'. By seeing the terrific response among fans to his cameo in the climax of the movie Vikram as the character Rolex, this cameo in Soorarai Pottru will be a very special treat for the fans of Maara. 

Interestingly, Suriya will also appear in a cameo in the movie 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect', which is starred and directed by R Madhavan. Rocketry will be released on July 1. Suriya has several projects in the pipeline including an outing with director Bala, where they are reuniting for the first time in 19 years after the movie Pithamagan and he is also acting in the movie 'Vaadivasal' helmed by Vetrimaaran.
