Vikram's Cult Classic to return to big screens! Here're the exciting deets

One of the most iconic films of Tamil cinema, Anniyan, is set to make a comeback on the big screen. The producer of the film, Aascar Ravichandran,  is planning to re-release the film in 4K version and has started the process of restoring and enhancing the visuals and audio quality of the film.

Anniyan, directed by Shankar and starring Vikram in a triple role, was released in 2005 and became a huge hit among the audience and critics alike. The film dealt with the theme of multiple personality disorder and social justice, and featured stunning action sequences, songs, and visual effects. The film also starred Sadha, Prakash Raj, Vivek, Nedumudi Venu, and Nassar in pivotal roles.

Ravichandran, who is also the owner of Aascar Films,  to re-release the film after seeing the overwhelming response from the fans on social media. He said that he wanted to give a new generation of viewers a chance to experience the film on the big screen with enhanced quality. He also said that he is in talks with Shankar and Vikram to promote the re-release and make it a grand event.

The re-release date of Anniyan has not been finalized yet, may to be released the film in multiple languages across India and abroad, as the film has a universal appeal and message. Anniyan is a film that tells the story of a lawyer who suffers from multiple personality disorder and becomes a vigilante to fight against corruption and injustice in the society.

The film was written and directed by S. Shankar, and produced by V. Ravichandran of Aascar Films. The film stars Vikram in a triple role as Ambi, Remo, and Anniyan, along with Sadha, Prakash Raj, Vivek, and others. The film was released in 2005 in Tamil, and was later dubbed into Telugu as Aparichithudu and Hindi as Aparichit.
